A downloadable Project for Windows and macOS

Welcome to Zoo Boss, a simple and sweet zoo simulator made as part of the University of California-Irvine GDIM 32: Multiplayer Systems course. In this game, you start with an empty zoo with only one goal in mind: to become a Zoo Boss!

You can purchase animals to populate your pens, or choose a more unorthodox route of becoming an attraction site with restaurants and rides. It's really up to you to decide how you choose to rule your zoo!

You can also choose to play with other Zoo Bosses, too. Host your own server for others to join, or join someone else's server to help manage their zoo. It's really up to you.

Great game! Loved the art style, the music. The gameplay is very soothing and relaxing. This is definitely something I would play after my 5th mental breakdown or panic attack. It also forced me to recontextualize the role of zoos in our society. I ruthlessly replaced the dog pen with a pizzeria once I got enough money, brutally ending the dog's life in a split second as he got crushed. Aren't zoos just like this? Crushing the souls of our precious animals while exploiting them for money? I love the social commentary that the game is making here, it is so powerful and reduced me to tears. Truly the best zoo game that I have ever played. Bravo.
